Did you know that 80% of learning
is obtained through vision?
Undetected vision problems can
cause learning problems in school.
Undetected vision problems can cause learning problems in school. Regular eye exams are important to check your child's vision and eye health. Although a vision screening performed at school can detect some eye problems, it is not a substitute for a comprehensive eye exam performed by an eye doctor. Clear, comfortable vision is critical to learning, and kids don't know when they aren't seeing clearly. Your child's first eye exam should be at age three.
Dr. Hotsenpiller is an InfantSEE® provider. InfantSEE® is a public health program which provides free eye exams for infants in their first year of life. Early detection of vision problems is important so that your baby's eyes develop properly. To learn more about this program, visit their website at www.infantsee.org.
